Schedule

Day 1

Our first day of filming was on the 29th December. On this day, we met in Poole at 11 and decided to film all the bus scenes. We all got day riders so it would be cheaper for us and we could get on any bus we wanted. We got on the number 8, and we told the driver that we were filming just to make him aware, which does a loop around Creekmoor and Hamworthy and goes back to Poole. We filmed a bit on this bus, however it got quite busy and we had to move to let other passengers sit down. When we got back to Poole, we thought that getting a double decker would be a better idea as it would be less busy, and we can go on the top decker and hardly anyone goes up there. We got on the number 4 which goes to broadstone and we got on the top deck. Luckily, no one went up there and we had the whole floor to ourselves. However, once we got up there, we found that the bus was different to the other bus in that it was more modern, therefore we had to film all the scenes again. This didn't matter to us as we only filmed a little bit, and we had time. We started filming 'Ava' walking up the stairs and choosing a place to sit. Sam brought some paper that we screwed up into a ball and gave to the 'bullies' to throw at her. As there was no one else on the bus, it didn't matter if they missed as they wouldn't hit anyone else, and we can pick them up and try again. We got all the filming done we needed for the bus and we decided to go back to Poole and do the train station scene as everyone was there that we needed. We went to the train station, however it was quite busy so we had to wait for the queue to die down. We filmed Ava walking up to the ticket machine, and entering where she wants to go. We also managed to film a train going past. We did this 2 times to get different angles and in case one of the clips was not focused.

Our next day for filming was on the 5th January. This day we filmed at my house, doing the scenes with Ava, her mum and her dad. We got home at about 3:45 and started filming. Firstly, we filmed the scenes in the bedroom, so the scene with the alarm clock, her getting out of bed, brushing her hair and putting her make up on. My mum and dad then came home and so we filmed the scenes with them in it. We filmed the tv scene first where Ava tries to talk to her mum but she gets rejected. This scene caused us a few problems however. As I have 2 dogs, they got in the way a few times and therefore my brother had to try to hold them back. Also, both actors kept laughing and forgetting their lines so we had to shoot this scene a couple of times. Instead of using wine, we used blackcurrant but we made it strong enough to look like wine. As the lines were quite long, we decided to cut it in-between, and then start off from where we stopped, However Lauren moved in between and couldn't remember where she was so we did that bit again, After this, we filmed 'Ava' packing her bags when she is running away. this then made us realise we had to do this train station scene again as she didn't have her bag with her. We also filmed the breakfast scene where she is sat with her mum and dad and eating her cereal. We found some cereal and she ate it while we filmed her. We filmed the mother and father talking to her, and this was all we needed for my house.

Day 2

Day 3

Our next day of filming was on the 7th January. Sam and Lauren met up with me after work and we filmed the train station scene again. This was because when we looked back on the footage, we saw most of the scenes were blurry and unfocused. Also, we did this because Lauren didn't have her bag full of clothes the first time. The scene didn't take that long to film as all we had to do was film her walking up to the ticket machine, her typing in where she was going and the train leaving the station. The train station wasn't that busy this time.

Day 4 hopefully is our last day of filming which was on the 11th. We were going to film on the 10th but Lauren forgot her leather jacket therefore we couldn't film as this would be a continuity error. We filmed the scenes that were needed in school, so the toilet scene, the lunch scene, the classroom scene and the outside scene. We decided to do the toilet scene first, as we all had a study period together and therefore it wouldn't be as busy. Over lunch time, we decided to film the lunch scene. as all the actors were eating lunch anyway and they were all free to film. We went outside to the gazebos and huts outside and found a suitable table. Luckily, as we were filming in winter it wasn't that busy and we were able to get a table. We all had a study period last lesson so we filmed the rest of the school scenes then. This involved the classroom scene and walking into school. On this day, we filmed the bus scene as well. Luckily, our school is near Milne road, and there is 2 bus stops on this road. Beforehand, we checked the bus timetables to make sure we weren't waiting around for a bus to come and we could get it done quickly. We walked there and 2 buses came at once, therefore we filmed both of them. We came back to school and did the argument scene, which took a few attempts as it was windy so we couldn't really hear them properly.

Day 4

After watching the footage back from the last day of filming, we realised that some of the footage was shaky, and that we had to re-film. We decided that we had to re-film the bedroom scene, as the footage was shaky, and we wouldn't be able to use this in our film. When we re-filmed, we realised that the bed sheets had changed, therefore we had to re-film all the bedroom scenes. We also decided to re-film the train scene as this was also shaky.
